The sloth bear is threatened by habitat loss, and demand for gall bladders and paws. It is often involved in conflicts with human, and can be aggressive when surprised. This coupled with damage they can cause to crops, has often led people to kill them in retaliation. The sloth bear has benefited from the existence of natural reserves established to protect other species such as tigers and elephants, but the increase in bear product demand in recent years is having a negative impact on their numbers.

As the voice of one of the top three largest commercial radio stations in London – Kiss 100 DJ Neev Ranu has quite a track record of success and in a tough industry such as ready has become force to be reckoned with among the airwaves of those in the know.
After cutting her teeth at just 18years old on Reading 107 FM, producing and presenting, Neev has always been up for a challenge and taken each new role in her stride. She also lent her dulcet tones (under the alter ego of Tara K) to the UK’s largest Asian radio network, Sunrise Radio where Neev’s vocal talents were heard on Star106.6 and BBC Asian Network.
When she finally arrived at Kiss, Neev’s determination and hard work saw her quickly rise through the ranks from ‘local traffic and travel girl’ to the ‘voice of Kiss before getting the early breakfast show and currently the hugely successful weekday lunchtime slot.
DJ Neev’s belief and passion to succeed in a career that she loves and an industry she was born to inhabit is truly inspirational. Her fight and determination gives hope that if you put your mind to something you will succeed.
