This inspirational British adventurer is always pushing the boundaries of human achievement, like being the youngest Briton to climb Mount Everest at just 23. Bear is also a keen environmentalist choosing to carry out some of his expeditions to help promote a greater consciousness of the changing natural world. To this end he has been to Antarctica to witness the effects of climate change and in an effort to highlight ways in which we can all make a difference he circumnavigated Britain testing an innovative new fuel made from rubbish.
Bear is probably best known for his exciting, and sometimes stomach turning television series ‘Born Survivor’. The programme shows Bear dropped by helicopter into some of the most inhospitable places in the world and having to cope with a variety of challenging scenarios. To paint a picture for you of how extreme some of these things are in the past Bear has been parachuted from helicopters, ran through a forest fire, eaten snakes, wrapped his urine-soaked t-shirt around his head to help stave off the desert heat and free climbed waterfalls. This list is by no means exhaustive either and it is clear that this husband, father, adventurer, adrenaline junkie, environmentalist and real life superhero has no intention of slowing down any time soon. It would seem that men want to be him and women want to marry him!
